Two dead and two wounded: Zhytomyr region endured a day of drone attacks
Russian forces carried out drone strikes on the Zhytomyr region for nearly a full day. The attacks resulted in the deaths of two people, and two others were hospitalized.
According to Vitaliy Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, enemy drones began attacking the region early in the morning on September 12. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed some of the targets, but were unable to prevent all strikes.
The strikes damaged fuel and transportation infrastructure, civilian buildings, and residents’ property. Specifically, four gas stations in the Zvyagel and Korosten districts were damaged.
Three vehicles, a grocery store, and one infrastructure facility were also damaged. Two fires broke out at the sites of the strikes.
Rescue workers and other emergency services continue to work to mitigate the consequences of the attack. Work is ongoing despite the ongoing threat of further strikes.

On September 10, in Kyiv’s Svyatoshynsky District, a drone crashed in an open area in the woods near a shopping center. According to preliminary reports, there was no fire and no casualties.
In the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv, an enemy drone struck the roof of a four-story business center. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene to investigate the circumstances and address the aftermath of the incident.
