Actor and musician Konstantin Slobodenyuk was killed on the front lines
Konstantin Slobodeniuk, a 43-year-old actor with the Chernihiv Regional Youth Theater and a musician, was killed in the war.
He joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May 2024. Before his service, Slobodeniuk worked at the Youth Theater and also performed at the Chernihiv Regional Philharmonic Center for Festivals and Concert Programs.
At the Philharmonic Center, he is remembered as a talented musician and sopilka player. For many years, he collaborated with the “Siverski Kleynody” Academic Song and Dance Ensemble and a group of concert performers.
His colleagues emphasize that Slobodeniuk made a significant contribution to the artistic life of Chernihiv. They promise to honor his memory as both an artist and a defender of Ukraine.
The funeral service for Kostyantyn Slobodeniuk will take place on September 15 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Catherine’s Church in Chernihiv.

Vitalii Shtefan, a historian and soldier from Magury, was killed on the front lines.
Earlier, Oleksiy Yukov, the head of the “Platsdarm” search and rescue team from Sloviansk, was killed.
