Russian troops carried out an airstrike on Sumy; there are casualties
On September 16, Russian forces launched guided airstrikes on Sumy. Five people are reported to have been wounded, according to preliminary reports. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
The strikes were recorded in the Kovpakivskyi and Zarichnyi districts of the city, where an industrial zone and private homes were damaged. At least three private homes were at the epicenter of the strikes and sustained damage; people may be trapped under the rubble.

The attack sparked fires, which are currently being contained. Information regarding the consequences of the Russian strikes and the number of casualties is being verified.

In the Mykolaiv region, a power line was damaged by falling debris following Russian strikes. As a result, 18 settlements were left without power.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, a private home was damaged as a result of Russian shelling. A 65-year-old woman was trapped under the rubble; rescuers freed her and handed her over to medical personnel.
Russian troops struck a passenger bus in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Five people were killed and seven others were injured in the attack, according to Serhiy Hanzha, head of the regional military administration.
