A Russian drone struck a gas station in the Sumy region
Russian troops have once again attacked the Shostka community in the Sumy region. A drone struck an infrastructure facility and a gas station, injuring a 63-year-old man. In addition, earlier that day, the occupiers launched another strike on the community’s territory. A non-residential building and a truck were damaged there.
On Saturday, July 18, the Russian army attacked the Shostka community in Sumy Oblast with a strike drone. This was reported by Shostka Mayor Mykola Noga. According to him, the drone struck an infrastructure facility and a gas station. “Recently, the Russian army attacked our community again. An unmanned aerial vehicle struck an infrastructure facility and a gas station,” Noga said.
A private car was damaged as a result of the attack. A 63-year-old man who sustained injuries sought medical attention. No further details about his condition have been provided at this time. The mayor noted that the extent of the damage is still being assessed. This was not the only attack on the community that day. Earlier, Russian troops struck the Ivotskyi Starosta District. “The Russian aggressor carried out an airstrike on the Shostka territorial community. A drone struck the Ivotskyi Starosta District,” Noga wrote.
The previous strike damaged non-residential buildings and a truck. Emergency and rescue services were on the scene. According to city authorities, no requests for medical assistance were received following this attack. Relevant services are currently working at the sites of both strikes. Over the past 18 days, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ unmanned aerial vehicle units have struck 83 energy facilities in the occupied territories and deep within enemy lines. Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, commander of the UAV Forces, stated that the last 12 targets were struck in just the past three days.
