A Russian missile strike damaged the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Cathedral in Kharkiv
In Kharkiv, the Cathedral of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church was damaged as a result of a Russian missile strike on August 15. The windows of the cathedral were shattered, and the surrounding area and buildings of the cathedral complex were also damaged; however, no parishioners were injured.
This was reported on Facebook by the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Parish of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
“The Cathedral of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was damaged in the recent missile strike on Kharkiv: shrapnel damaged the church’s windows, as well as the surrounding area and the premises,” the post reads.
It is noted that none of the church’s parishioners were injured.
Earlier, Ukraine announced strikes on a missile center and an airbase in Russia.
As a reminder, Russian forces attacked Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The strike sparked a fire, damaged private homes, and left two men injured and hospitalized.
Over the past day, Russian troops attacked Kherson and dozens of settlements in the region. As a result of the strikes, 28 people were injured, including a 16-year-old boy.
In the Zaporizhzhia district, a Russian FPV drone attacked a combine harvester that was working in a field. Two men who were involved in the harvest were injured.
