A Russian strike on Kyiv claimed the lives of a National Guard soldier and his fiancée
As a result of the Russian missile strike on Kyiv on July 6, Bogdan Bubir, a soldier in the Ukrainian National Guard, and his fiancée, Diana Pravdina, were killed. The tragedy cut short the young couple’s lives, and their loved ones and comrades remember the fallen defender as a sincere, decent, and dedicated person.
A Russian missile struck a residential building where Bohdan and Diana were staying, according to a report from the Lokhvytsia Territorial Community.
Bogdan was born on July 22, 1999, in the village of Yakhnyky in the Poltava region, where he spent his childhood and youth. After graduating from the Yakhniky General Education School (Grades 1–3), he studied at the Poltava Professional College of Oil and Gas, and then earned a higher education degree from the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. Throughout his career, he has proven himself to be a responsible, conscientious, and hardworking professional.
From the very first years of the full-scale war, Bohdan voluntarily stood up to defend Ukraine by joining the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He served on a contract basis in Kyiv as a rifleman, fulfilling his military duty with honor and dignity.
On the night of July 6, 2026, around 3:00 a.m., a Russian missile struck a residential building in Kyiv. The enemy strike cut short the lives of Bohdan and his fiancée, Diana.
“Bogdan will forever remain in the memory of his family, friends, comrades, and everyone who knew him as a sincere, decent, and responsible person who, without hesitation, stood up to defend his country. May Bogdan and Diana rest in peace,” reads the community’s condolence message.
