The SBU detained two online agitators in Kharkiv and Cherkasy Oblast
The Security Service of Ukraine has exposed two more supporters of Russian imperialism who were actively spreading hostile propaganda.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
The perpetrators were justifying Russia’s armed aggression and spreading disinformation in an attempt to undermine the state’s national security.
In the Cherkasy region, law enforcement officers detained a former seminarian of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate). The suspect is part of the inner circle of the Metropolitan of the Cherkasy Diocese, against whom the SBU had previously announced five separate charges.
According to the investigation, the former seminarian used his Facebook page to spread pro-Kremlin narratives.
He publicly denied the fact of a full-scale invasion by Russian troops and glorified the crimes of the occupying forces.
In addition, the agitator glorified the aggressors, justifying the killings of Ukraine’s civilian population. His posts were aimed at creating a false picture of events among social media users.
Meanwhile, in Kharkiv, SBU officers, together with border guards, exposed a local market vendor. The woman was actively campaigning for support of the Kremlin regime directly among her acquaintances.
The suspect disseminated provocative content from the aggressor country via messaging apps and during personal meetings with acquaintances.
She also systematically posted pro-Russian comments across various social media platforms.
Linguistic analyses conducted at the initiative of the Security Service fully confirmed the criminal nature of the actions of both individuals. Analysis of the texts proved that they were knowingly working in the ideological interests of the enemy.
