Sybiha reports Russian drone strike near Yahodyn
According to Asharq Al-Awsat, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that a Russian drone struck near Yahodyn in Ukraine’s Volyn Oblast overnight. The minister initially reported a strike on the Yahodyn border crossing, but later clarified that the drone hit near it.

A spokesperson for the Polish Border Guard told Reuters that the strike site is located about 800 meters from Poland. According to her, the border crossing was temporarily closed during the attack.
Sybiha said that Russia’s strikes, as an aggressor state, in the area of the Ukrainian-Polish border are a continuation of attacks on Ukraine’s state borders. He called on partners in the European Union and NATO to pay attention to the threat of Russian attacks near their borders.

Attack on a locomotive
Separately, Ukrzaliznytsia reported that in another part of Volyn Oblast, a drone attacked the locomotive of a passenger train about two kilometers from Poland. The company said that no one was injured as a result of the strike.
A significant portion of military and humanitarian aid from allies enters the country through several border crossings between Ukraine and Poland.
