Sibiga recalled a turning point in the war with Russia
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga stated that a turning point is approaching in the Russia-Ukraine war. During an informal meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the foreign ministers’ level, he emphasized that Ukraine continues to hold its ground, and Russia’s numerical superiority is no longer a decisive factor on the battlefield.
According to the diplomat, Ukraine is no longer merely asking its partners for help but is itself a key player in European security. Sybiha emphasized that Ukraine is “holding the line,” and Russia’s human resources are no longer a decisive advantage. He also stressed that pressure on Moscow is mounting.
The foreign minister called on NATO countries to invest more actively in Ukraine’s defense, calling it a contribution to future peace. He emphasized that three key elements are needed to achieve peace: diplomacy, pressure, and strength.
As a reminder, Ukraine and Hungary have agreedon a new round of negotiations.
Earlier, the Hungarian government commented on the massive attack by Russian drones on Zakarpattia, during which the region’s critical infrastructure was targeted. Budapest described the situation in the border region as extremely alarming and announced that it was preparing urgent countermeasures.
