Ukrainian defense forces are successfully driving the enemy out of the border areas of Sumy Oblast
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy heard a detailed briefing from Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi on the situation at the front and the use of long-range weapons.
The main topic of discussion was the successful strikes by Ukrainian drones on oil refining infrastructure within the territory of the Russian Federation.
The parties paid particular attention to an analysis of the losses suffered by Russian occupation forces since the beginning of this year.
Ukrainian defense forces carried out a successful attack on an oil refinery in the city of Yaroslavl, located hundreds of kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
This strike demonstrated the growing capabilities of Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex. The military continues to methodically destroy the enemy’s economic and logistical capabilities, which fund the aggression.
“In particular, last night the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an oil refinery in Yaroslavl—about 700 kilometers from our territory. We are bringing the war back home to Russia, and this is entirely justified. There were also strikes on specific targets in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. We are also preparing other manifestations of our long-range sanctions and mid-range strikes in response to Russian attacks on our cities and communities,” Zelenskyy said.
During the meeting, officials also discussed in detail the current operational situation on the hottest sections of the front.
Special mention was made of the effectiveness of Ukrainian units in the border areas of Sumy Oblast, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine are confidently carrying out their assigned tasks.
Thanks to the clear actions of the command and the heroism of the soldiers, the enemy’s offensive potential is being contained.
The Head of State released official data on the Russian army’s losses over the past few months. The scale of the enemy’s manpower losses attests to the extremely high intensity of combat operations and the effectiveness of the Ukrainian defense.
