Ukraine’s Defence Forces repelled more than 140 Russian attacks in one day
The 1,470th day of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine passed under continuous assaults by Russian forces across ten front-line directions.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Over the past 24 hours, 144 combat engagements were recorded — one of the highest daily totals in recent weeks.
The Russian army carried out one missile strike and 74 air strikes, using 255 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, Russian forces deployed 8,445 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,453 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 94 strikes using multiple launch rocket systems.
Air strikes targeted the settlements of Pysantsi and Vyshneve in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as Vozdvyzhivka, Huliaipilske, Kopani, Charivne, Dolynka, Liubytske, Samiilivka, Novoukrainka, Zelena Dibrova and Hirske in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out five air strikes using 15 aerial bombs and conducted 152 shelling attacks, five of them involving multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian troops twice stopped attempts by the enemy to break through defences near the settlements of Zybyne and Kruhle.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces attempted five times to advance towards Petropavlivka, Novoplatonivka and Kurylivka.
In the Lyman direction, 10 attacks were recorded, with the enemy attempting to break into Ukrainian defences in the areas of Shyikivka, Stavky, Drobysheve and Lyman.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian units repelled 10 attacks in the areas of Zakitne, Platonivka, Riznykivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka. No active combat operations were recorded in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy launched 17 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Sofiivka and Rusyn Yar, as well as towards Illinivka and Novopavlivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 25 assaults in the areas of Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Udachne and Molodetske, as well as near Kucheriv Yar, Novooleksandrivka and Novopidhorodne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attempted 11 times to break through defences towards Ternove, Vyshneve and Vorone.
In the area of Huliaipole and the nearby villages of Zaliznychne, Varvarivka, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Zelene and Tsvitkove, Ukrainian forces repelled 25 attacks.
In the Orikhiv direction, two combat clashes took place near Stepnohirsk and Prymorske. No active offensive actions by Russian forces were recorded in the Prydniprovske direction.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the enemy is not forming offensive groupings.
As previously reported, Ukrainian forces eliminated another 980 Russian troops and 32 artillery systems over the past day.
In addition, in the Kupiansk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a camouflaged MT-LB armoured vehicle and enemy drones.
