Defense forces struck Russian warehouses and confirmed the destruction of a MiG-29 and a Ka-27
On September 1 and during the night of September 2, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of military targets belonging to the Russian occupiers.
Specifically, an ammunition depot was struck in Volodymyrivka, Donetsk Oblast, and a logistics depot belonging to an occupying unit was struck in Ocheretine. In Rechitsa, Bryansk Oblast, Russian Federation, Ukrainian forces struck an area where weapons and military equipment were concentrated.
The extent of the damage inflicted on the enemy is currently being assessed.
At the same time, based on an analysis of additional data, the General Staff confirmed the destruction on August 30 of a Russian Ka-27 helicopter near the “Yeisk” airfield in the Krasnodar Krai.
It has also been confirmed that a MiG-29 aircraft was destroyed on August 27 near the Millerovo airfield in the Rostov Region of the Russian Federation.
The General Staff noted that operations against key enemy military targets are ongoing.

Vladimir Putin likely decided to further escalate the war after several weeks of deliberation over the summer. According to The Economist, the Russian dictator may be seeking to preserve his power and life through this escalation.
As a reminder, on the afternoon of August 30, Russian troops attacked Kyiv with strike drones. Explosions were heard in the capital, and air defense forces engaged enemy targets.
