Russian drones attack central Kyiv: 11 people injured
The Russian Federation — an aggressor state — attacked the central part of Kyiv with drones on Wednesday morning. Eleven people were injured, while residential buildings and a university building were damaged. This was reported by Cyprus Mail.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the strike on the university in the center of the capital occurred during classes. About 160 people were forced to move to shelter. The attack marked the seventh day of nearly continuous air strikes on Kyiv and the region.
Transport and parliament's work
Explosions were heard in central Kyiv in the morning as air defense forces engaged drones approaching the city. Frequent air raid alerts affected public transport operations: traffic is suspended on certain sections of the Kyiv metro during them.
The alerts interrupted the work of the Verkhovna Rada twice. According to Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zhelezniak, lawmakers were testing a new digital voting system from an underground room beneath the parliament building. Earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that the city defense council had asked the government to ease the curfew and some transport restrictions during alerts.

Strikes on Odesa region and Dnipro
Also on Wednesday, Russia launched a missile and drone strike on energy facilities in Odesa region, authorities said. More than 350,000 households were left without electricity.
Two people were killed and another eight were injured in Dnipro as a result of Russian strikes, the head of the region said. Food warehouses and educational buildings were damaged.
Zelenskyy said world leaders had not responded sufficiently to the intensification of Russian attacks. He also warned airlines and insurance companies about the danger of using Russia's airspace because of the presence of Ukrainian drones. Ukraine said it had appealed to the International Civil Aviation Organization to call on member states to ban the use of Russian airspace.
