Defense forces struck a Russian helicopter and a key bridge

Ukrainian forces have launched new strikes against key military targets of the Russian occupiers. A helicopter near the Sea of Azov, a railway bridge in the Luhansk region, as well as enemy command posts, warehouses, and a repair base came under fire.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasizes that such strikes help weaken the Russian army’s logistics and reduce its ability to conduct combat operations. Ukrainian defense forces continue to strike Russian military targets in the temporarily occupied territories. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the results of the latest operation.

According to military sources, Ukrainian defenders struck a Russian helicopter in the waters of the Sea of Azov. The exact extent of the damage is currently being assessed. In addition, Ukrainian forces struck a railway bridge across the Siverskyi Donets River near Stanytsia Luhanska. Russian troops were using this very route to transport personnel, weapons, ammunition, and other logistical resources.

Two command posts of the occupying forces in the Shakhtarsk area of Donetsk Oblast were also targeted. Furthermore, the Ukrainian military struck several other key enemy targets:

  • a drone depot in Tytarivka;
  • a repair unit in Starobilsk;
  • a fuel and lubricants depot in Luhansk.

The General Staff noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will continue their systematic efforts to destroy the occupiers’ military infrastructure. “The Ukrainian Defense Forces will continue to systematically carry out measures aimed at stopping the armed aggression of the Russian Federation,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.

The Ukrainian military regularly strikes the occupiers’ depots, command posts, logistics routes, and equipment. Such operations complicate the resupply of Russian units on the front lines and reduce their combat capabilities, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As a reminder, in Kramatorsk, rescue workers extinguished two fires that broke out following Russian attacks with FPV drones on the night of July 4 and in the morning. The fires were quickly put out; there were no fatalities or injuries.

On the morning of July 4, Russian troops attacked one of the Naftogaz Group’s gas production facilities in the Poltava region with drones. The strike caused a fire at the facility, and its operations were temporarily suspended.

On the morning of July 4, Russian forces carried out a drone attack on one of the industrial facilities in the Poltava region. The strike occurred in the Poltava district.

In addition, Russian forces attacked Sumy with guided aerial bombs, injuring an elderly woman. Damage to civilian infrastructure has been reported in the city, and emergency services are assessing the extent of the damage caused by the strike.

As a result of a massive Russian strike on the capital, a leased humanitarian warehouse belonging to the Ukrainian Red Cross was completely destroyed; it had stored over 320,000 items of cargo and equipment with a total value of more than 79 million hryvnias

As a result of Russian shelling and a fire at one of the capital’s enterprises, fuel and lubricants flowed into Kyrylivskyi Lake in Kyiv via the storm sewer system.
