Syrsky visited Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in Donetsk Oblast
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrskyi made a working visit to military units carrying out combat missions in the Donetsk region, where he heard reports from brigade commanders and the border guard detachment regarding the current situation and the support provided to the units.
Particular attention was paid to the Kostiantynivka sector and the area immediately surrounding the city, where Brigadier General Oleksandr Bakulin, commander of the 19th Army Corps, reported on the operational situation.
Russian occupation forces continue to exert constant pressure with small assault groups, relying on their superiority in manpower; however, Ukrainian units are promptly detecting the enemy’s intentions, conducting active defense, and inflicting significant losses on Russia.
During the visit, the Commander-in-Chief made the necessary decisions, issued instructions to stabilize the situation, and awarded pilots of unmanned aerial systems from the 3rd Border Guard Detachment for their effective combat operations. Syrskyi also expressed his gratitude for the professionalism of the soldiers of the 19th Army Corps, the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, and the 156th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The general also singled out the servicemen of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, who have been heroically and courageously defending the town of Chasiv Yar for over two years.
Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi held a meeting with Lieutenant General Curtis Bazzard, commander of the NATO Special Mission for Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) and the Security Assistance Group for Ukraine (SAG-U).
As a reminder, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi approved the Concept for the Development of the Missile Forces and Artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which outlines the key directions for the development of these branches of the military through 2030.
