The situation near Vovchansk remains difficult, but there have been no enemy breakthroughs — Tregubov
The situation in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi areas of Kharkiv Oblast remains difficult, but Russian forces have not made any significant advances.
This was stated by Viktor Tregubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Operation.
According to him, the situation on this section of the front remains “consistently difficult,” but the enemy is facing objective difficulties that are hindering its advance.
At the same time, in Vovchansk itself, the Russians have managed to slightly improve their positions over the past month, although the changes are minor.
Outside the city, particularly in the direction of Lypets and Vovchanskiy Khutory, attacks are ongoing.
Tregubov noted that defense in this sector is complicated by the terrain, but Ukrainian forces continue to hold their positions and inflict losses on the enemy.
As a reminder, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine made personnel decisions regarding the command of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade following media coverage of the critical situation regarding the supply of troops in the Kupiansk direction.
Prior to this, information appeared on social media about an allegedly critical situation regarding the supply of soldiers from the 14th Brigade’s 2nd Mechanized Battalion, who are stationed at their positions without sufficient food and water.
