How many Ukrainians support the resistance against Russia despite the risk of being left without heat this winter

The vast majority of Ukrainians believe that Ukraine should continue its armed resistance against Russian aggression even if the enemy attempts to leave people without electricity, heat, or sewage services in the winter. Seventy-seven percent of citizens share this view.

At the same time, 12% of those surveyed are convinced that under such conditions, Ukraine should agree to any of Russia’s demands, even if they amount to surrender. Another 11% of respondents were undecided.

The majority of residents in all regions of Ukraine support continuing armed resistance: from 68% in the east to 83% in Kyiv. The capital has the highest level of support, despite systematic missile and drone strikes.

This is evidenced by data from a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).

U.S. President’s Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner discussed with Moscow and Kyiv possible steps to reduce the intensity of hostilities during the winter.
