Hundreds of drones attacked Russia and annexed Crimea

During the night of May 19, a massive air attack was recorded over numerous regions of the Russian Federation, the annexed Crimea, and the waters of the Sea of Azov.

According to a statement by representatives of the aggressor country’s Ministry of Defense, air defense forces detected and destroyed hundreds of aerial targets.

Currently, local authorities in several regions are verifying information regarding the extent of damage on the ground and possible civilian casualties.

A large-scale air raid alert has affected more than a dozen regions, including border and central areas of the Russian Federation.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the aircraft were countered using anti-aircraft systems and electronic warfare equipment.

Official sources emphasize the extremely high intensity of the night raids, which occurred in several waves in different directions simultaneously.

The largest number of aircraft was recorded in the border regions of Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod.

Drones launched a massive attack on Moscow

On the morning of May 16, Moscow also came under attack by drones, causing airports in the Russian capital to temporarily suspend operations.

Throughout May 15 and into the night of May 16, Ukrainian defense forces carried out a series of precision strikes on key Russian military infrastructure targets, inflicting damage both on Russian territory and in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories, where the enemy concentrates its equipment, ammunition, and personnel.
