Satellites have detected fires in several areas of occupied Crimea

Satellite monitoring has detected fire hotspots in various areas of the temporarily occupied Crimea. Fires were recorded near power substations in Kurortny and Saki, as well as in the Azov Sea region near Kerch.

According to satellite imagery, the fires broke out on the grounds of the “Western Crimean” power substation in Kurortny, as well as near energy and railway infrastructure facilities in Saki. In addition, unidentified fire hotspots have been detected in the waters of the Sea of Azov near Kerch.

“Fires are being detected in several areas of the temporarily occupied Crimea: on the grounds of the 110 kV ‘Saki’ substation and, possibly, near the railway station, near the 330 kV ‘Western Crimean’ substation, near a known S-400 air defense system position, and at sea north of Kerch,” Sternenko wrote.

Ukrainian Telegram channels report that NASA’s FIRMS system is detecting fires in Saki, Kurortny, and north of Kerch, where a ship may have been attacked.

It is also noted that explosions were heard overnight in the Feodosia, Yevpatoria, and Kerch districts.

According to their reports, a railway station in Saki and the “Saki” and “Western Crimean” power substations were under attack, and tankers carrying gasoline in the Sea of Azov—which were struck by Ukrainian drones last night—continued to burn.

In addition, Russian troops carried out 880 strikes on 62 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours. As a result of massive attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district, 11 people were wounded, including four children.

Over the past day, 273 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines. Ukrainian forces continue to repel the advance of Russian occupation forces, inflicting significant losses on the enemy in terms of personnel, equipment, and military infrastructure.
