Three regions left without electricity after Russian attacks
As of the morning of March 5, as a result of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, some consumers in three regions of Ukraine remain without electricity. At the same time, the level of electricity consumption in the country has been decreasing for the second day in a row.
This was reported by Ukrenergo on Facebook.
“As a result of enemy attacks on energy facilities, as of the morning there are de-energized consumers in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions. Where security conditions allow, emergency restoration work is already underway. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore electricity to all subscribers as quickly as possible,” the statement said.
Due to the consequences of previous massive strikes on the energy system, in some regions there are schedules limiting capacity for industry, as well as hourly electricity outages for other categories of consumers.
According to energy officials, as of 9:30 on Thursday, the level of electricity consumption in Ukraine was 5.3% lower than at the same time the previous day. The main reason was sunny weather almost throughout the country, which increases the efficiency of household solar power plants and accordingly reduces the load on the general energy network.
At the same time, Ukrenergo emphasize that in regions where power outages are applied, consumers should continue to adhere to economical electricity use.
We remind that the Air Force summarized the results of the three-month battle for Ukrainian energy.
The CEO of Yasno, Serhii Kovalenko, reported that the energy situation in the capital remains difficult due to a significant network deficit and uneven ability to distribute electricity between different districts of the city.
