Russian media outlets are reporting on a new tactic employed by Ukrainian forces—the use of heavy drones as carriers for FPV drones during attacks in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
According to their data, Ukrainian FP-1-type UAVs are being used as “carrier drones” that deliver several strike drones to the target at once.
This involves a setup where a single large drone carries two FPV kamikaze drones and itself carries a warhead weighing up to several dozen kilograms. This combination allows for strikes at significant distances.
It is also noted that the drone can be equipped with signal relay equipment, which improves FPV control during attacks.
According to Russian sources, such strikes are directed at the positions of the occupiers’ radar stations and mobile fire groups.
Z-publications acknowledge that the number of such attacks is increasing.
