Kadyrov's 18-year-old son now has his own security unit
The 18-year-old son of Chechen leader Adam Kadyrov has formed his own security unit called “Dustum K-13.” Its fighters are based at the “Akhmat” special rapid response unit facility in the village of Akhmat-Yurt and conduct roadblocks, checking motorists.
The unit has its own Instagram channel, where it posts videos of training exercises in drone operation, shooting down drones, firearms training, and evacuating the wounded.
Adam Kadyrov gained notoriety in September 2023 after beating the detained Nikita Zhuravel in a pretrial detention center. After that, he held a number of leadership positions in the republic, was listed in the Russian Book of Records, and received more than 20 awards. In January 2026, he caused a fatal traffic accident in Grozny, after which he underwent treatment in Moscow.
