In most Ukrainian cities, the anxiety caused by jet drones shows no signs of abating, says Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that due to the threat posed by Russian jet drones, air raid alerts are virtually constant in many Ukrainian cities and communities.
According to the president, damage was reported in 13 regions of Ukraine last night as a result of Russian strikes.
Zelenskyy reported that 17 people, including three children, were injured when a Russian drone struck a residential high-rise building in Odesa.
“Work is ongoing to address the aftermath of the strike in the Obukhiv and Boryspil districts. A number of State Emergency Service rescuers are battling a fire at a pharmaceutical company’s warehouse. There were strikes on Nikopol, Kherson, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Khmelnytskyi. In total, there has been destruction in 13 regions just overnight,” the president noted.
Thus, the Russian attack affected several regions of Ukraine at once, and emergency services continue to work at the sites of the strikes.
The president specifically drew attention to a new threat posed by Russian jet-powered drones.
“The enemy hasn’t taken a break—the Russians have found a new way to escalate the conflict and have no plans to slow down. We need to step up our response and countermeasures, and accelerate European production of defense systems, primarily air defense—anti-missile and anti-drone systems. Europe can be self-sufficient and strong—a great deal has already been done toward this goal in recent years.
And only in this way can it protect itself and its way of life. Every day, we are working with our partners on new defense packages. Thank you to everyone working toward our common defense. Thank you to everyone who is helping Ukraine,” Zelenskyy concluded.
According to him, Ukraine continues to work with international partners on new defense packages, in particular to strengthen its air and anti-drone defenses.

On September 3, Russian occupiers launched an attack on Dnipro. According to the latest reports, one person was killed and five others were injured as a result of the attack. The number of casualties in the city may rise as the full extent of the Russian strike continues to be assessed.
Russia shelled the Chernihiv region 16 times over the past 24 hours, with 29 explosions recorded.
On September 3, a man was injured in the Boryspil district of Kyiv Oblast as a result of a Russian attack. It is known that one person was wounded by the enemy strike.
In the Khmelnytskyi region, warehouse facilities at one of the enterprises caught fire after debris from a downed Russian strike drone fell on them. The fire covered an area of 200 square meters, according to Serhiy Tyurin, head of the regional military administration.
Over the past day in the Mykolaiv region, 15 private homes were damaged as a result of attacks by Russian Shahed-type strike drones. A social services building and three cars were also damaged, according to Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Head Heorhiy Reshetilov.
