Central Asian countries are canceling and rescheduling flights to Russia
Air travel between Russia and the countries of Central Asia has been severely disrupted due to restrictions in Russian airspace and flight safety concerns. In Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, airlines have been forced to cancel, delay, or reroute flights bound for Moscow and other regions of Russia.
Specifically, on September 3, flights operated by the Russian airlines Aeroflot and S7 Airlines were delayed in Kyrgyzstan, while three Ural Airlines flights were canceled in Tajikistan.
Meanwhile, due to the security situation, Uzbekistan Airways diverted its Termez–Moscow flight to an alternate airport in St. Petersburg, and the carrier is operating flights between Tashkent and Sochi via a revised route through Kazakh airspace.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned airlines, insurers, and other companies that use Russian airspace about the increasing danger of flying over Russia. According to him, due to the war and the activity of Ukrainian drones, Russian airspace will effectively become unsuitable for safe civilian flights.
Earlier, Budanov confirmed Zelenskyy’s plans to close Russian airspace.
