In Kharkiv, a Russian jet-powered drone struck the grounds of one of the city’s cemeteries. Initially, authorities reported a strike on a residential area in the Kyivskyi District, but the mayor later clarified the location of the strike. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured.

 

Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, reported the attack on Kharkiv. According to him, a strike by a Russian drone was recorded in the city’s Kyivskyi District. Initially, it was known only that the strike occurred in a residential area. “A strike by an enemy drone has been recorded in the Kyivskyi District of Kharkiv. Preliminary reports indicate that the strike hit a residential area,” Synyegubov wrote.

He noted that information regarding possible damage and casualties was still being verified. All necessary emergency services were on the scene.

Later, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov provided further details. According to him, the strike was carried out by a jet-powered drone, and the impact occurred on the grounds of one of the city’s cemeteries. “A jet-powered UAV struck the grounds of one of the city’s cemeteries,” Terekhov said.

According to preliminary information from the mayor, there were no casualties. Emergency services continue to work at the scene. Information regarding the possible consequences of the strike and the extent of the damage may be updated. Oleg Sinehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, reported this on Telegram.

On the night of August 8, Russian troops attacked the Kyiv region with strike drones. As a result of the attack in the village of Pukhivka, three members of the same family were killed—a grandfather, a grandmother, and their three-year-old grandson.

In addition, a Russian drone struck the locomotive of a train traveling from Sumy to Kyiv. Passengers were evacuated in time, so there were no casualties.

On the night of August 8, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with six Iskander-M ballistic missiles, S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles, and 151 attack drones. 

In Mykolaiv on August 7, a civilian vessel in the port was damaged as a result of an attack by Russian drones. No one was injured.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 978 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region. Three civilians were killed and four others were wounded as a result of the attacks.

The day before, Russian forces attacked the grounds of a hospital in central Kherson with a drone. Four female medical workers were injured; all suffered blast injuries and concussions.

On the night of July 19, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv. One person was killed and eight others were injured as a result of the attack. Damage and fires were reported in five districts of the capital.

Throughout the day on July 17, Russian forces carried out strikes on Kharkiv and 29 other settlements in the Kharkiv region. Two people were killed and 18 others were wounded as a result of the shelling; among the injured were five children.
