The number of casualties in Kharkiv has risen following this morning's Russian strike

The number of people injured in this morning’s Russian attack on Kharkiv continues to rise. As of now, 42 people are known to have been wounded. Emergency rescue operations are underway at the site of one of the strikes, and medical personnel continue to provide assistance to the victims.

 

This was reported by Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration. According to him, the number of people injured following the shelling of the Nemyshlyanskyi district has risen to 42. “The number of people injured as a result of the Russian shelling of the Nemyshlyanskyi district has risen to 42,” Synyegubov said.

All the wounded are receiving the necessary medical care. Some have been hospitalized, while others were treated on-site or on an outpatient basis. Meanwhile, rescue workers continue to operate at the site of the strike. They are clearing debris, inspecting damaged structures, and searching for people who may be trapped under the rubble.

As a reminder, on the morning of July 8, Russian forces launched a missile strike on a five-story residential building in the Nemyshlyanskyi district of Kharkiv. Two people were killed in the attack. Dozens more residents were injured, including children. The fifth floor of the residential building was partially destroyed by the strike. The blast wave also damaged nearby parked cars and surrounding infrastructure.

Earlier that morning, Kharkiv suffered another attack. A Russian strike drone hit a gas station in the city’s Kyivskyi district. A fire broke out at the gas station after the strike. Rescue workers managed to contain the fire, but operations at the scene are still ongoing. Law enforcement and relevant agencies continue to document the aftermath of yet another Russian attack. As a reminder, on the morning of July 8, a Russian drone exploded near a gas distribution station in Kyiv. Emergency services are working at the scene, and experts are assessing the consequences of the attack and checking the condition of critical infrastructure.
