New Hazardous Mine Disguised as Cloth Discovered in Kherson
Authorities in Kherson have identified a new type of explosive device featuring electronic control and combined effects.
This was reported by Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson Military-Civil Administration, on Telegram.
“In Kherson, a new mine has been found. Visually, it looks like an object wrapped in cloth. Specialists are currently studying its characteristics. It is already known that the mine has electronic control and a combined effect. The enemy uses it to target both people and vehicles,” Shanko said.

At present, it is unclear whether the mine has a self-destruction mechanism or the exact timing of its detonation.
Local authorities are urging residents to exercise extreme caution:
- Do not approach suspicious objects closer than 30 meters.
- Do not touch or attempt to move them.
- Immediately report any discoveries to the relevant services.
Residents are advised to treat all unknown objects as potentially dangerous, as the enemy continues to deploy new types of mines.

Previously in Kherson, a civilian vehicle struck a “PMN-2” anti-personnel mine, injuring a family of four — a man, a woman, and two children.
