As a result of Russia’s massive nighttime attack on Kyiv on May 14, the Passport Service office in the Darnytskyi district, located near the “Kharkivska” metro station, sustained significant damage.
The blast wave shattered the building’s windows, damaged the facade, and destroyed the suspended ceiling inside.
The floor is covered with shards of glass, concrete, and plastic.
Employees of the agency are already on site, assessing the extent of the damage and trying to salvage the remaining equipment.
It is currently unknown when the center will be able to resume serving the public.
In Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district, search and rescue operations are ongoing on May 14 at the site of a Russian strike on an apartment building. According to the State Emergency Service, as of 10:00 a.m., two people are confirmed dead, and another 28 people have been rescued. Rescue workers, K-9 units, and psychologists are on the scene.
As a reminder, on the night of May 14 in Kyiv, the air raid alert lasted nearly eight hours. In the Kyiv region, seven people were injured in the Russian attack, including a three-year-old child. In Kyiv, more than 30 people have been wounded following the massive shelling.
