The death toll from the Russian attack in Kyiv has risen

The death toll from the massive nighttime shelling of the capital on June 15 has risen to five following the death of a victim at a medical facility

Doctors fought to the very end to save the life of a woman who was admitted to the intensive care unit in extremely critical condition following the explosions. 

The Russian airstrike caused widespread destruction in several areas of the city and significant civilian casualties. 

Medical services continue to provide emergency care to dozens of injured civilians who sustained injuries of varying severity. 

Cleanup operations are ongoing at the sites where debris and missiles struck, while law enforcement officials are documenting the consequences of yet another war crime.

“One of the victims, who was in critical condition, died in the hospital. Five casualties in the capital as a result of a massive enemy attack,” said Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

Along with updating the death toll, law enforcement agencies have recorded an increase in the total number of injured city residents. 

According to updated information from rescue units, more than three dozen people sustained injuries and concussions of varying severity. Among those hospitalized and those who received outpatient care are minors from Kyiv.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported that the number of casualties resulting from the massive enemy strike has risen to 34 people, including two children.

This was officially announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

As a reminder, Russia attacked the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, causing a fire.

Prior to this, Russian missiles struck the Zaporizhzhia region, resulting in injuries.

Five State Emergency Service rescuers were killed as a result of the Russian attack on Kharkiv.
