There are approximately 120 Russian occupiers in Kostiantynivka

Russian troops are attempting to capture Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region; however, reports that the occupiers have taken control of the city are untrue. Ukrainian forces continue to eliminate enemy groups that have infiltrated the town.

This was reported by Alexander Bakulin, commander of the 19th Army Corps.

According to him, there are currently about 123 Russian soldiers in Kostiantynivka. Units of the Russian Federation’s 6th Motorized Rifle Division and 4th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade are operating in this area.

Bakulin noted that the Russian command’s main objective remains the capture of Kostiantynivka.

“At this time, I think their task is still to take Kostiantynivka here, so that there isn’t a situation like the one they had in Kupiansk. When they reported, things didn’t go as planned,” he said.

Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold their positions and counter the enemy’s attempts to advance.
