Two people were killed in Kramatorsk as a result of an attack by Russia
On the morning of April 26, 2026, Russian troops shelled Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region. Two people were killed in the attack, and another civilian was wounded. According to the prosecutor’s office, the 50-year-old man suffered an explosive injury, a fracture, and shrapnel wounds. “The victim was hospitalized in moderate condition,” the agency noted. At least eight residential buildings were damaged as a result of the shelling. The type of weaponry used and the final consequences of the attack are currently being determined. A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the attack under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—violation of the laws and customs of war. Additionally, a 24-year-old man who was wounded during the evening Russian attack on Dnipro died in the hospital. On the night of April 26, 2026, Russian forces again attacked the Zhytomyr region with strike drones. Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops shelled 18 settlements in the Kharkiv region, resulting in civilian casualties. An attack by enemy drones was recorded in Chernihiv, resulting in fires and damage to residential buildings in the city. Ukrainian rescue workers have completed emergency restoration work at the site of a four-story building partially destroyed by a Russian strike. Six people are known to have died, and another 23 were injured.
