On the morning of April 26, 2026, Russian troops shelled Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region. Two people were killed in the attack, and another civilian was wounded.
This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office on Telegram.
“On the morning of April 26, 2026, the occupiers shelled Kramatorsk. The munitions struck a residential area. As a result of the enemy attack, a woman and a man sustained fatal injuries. They were on the street at the time of the attack,” the statement reads.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the 50-year-old man suffered an explosive injury, a fracture, and shrapnel wounds.
“The victim was hospitalized in moderate condition,” the agency noted.
At least eight residential buildings were damaged as a result of the shelling. The type of weaponry used and the final consequences of the attack are currently being determined.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the attack under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—violation of the laws and customs of war.
Additionally, a 24-year-old man who was wounded during the evening Russian attack on Dnipro died in the hospital.
