In Crimea, drones launched a massive attack on airfields and Sevastopol
On the night of April 26, the temporarily occupied Crimea came under a massive drone attack. Explosions and active engagement by Russian air defenses were reported in various areas.
This was reported by the "ATESH" partisan movement on Telegram.
According to the movement, explosions were heard in the areas of the “Kacha” and “Belbek” airfields, in Balaklava, near Sevastopol, on Fiolent, Sapun-Gora, and in the Bakhchysarai district.
“Throughout the night, ‘ATESH’ agents relayed real-time information about drone flights and air defense operations. According to ‘ATESH’ agents, the active phase began around 9:00 p.m. and lasted until 1:30 a.m.—several hours of continuous strikes and air defense activity. The attack came in waves from various directions. The attack ended around 5:30 a.m.," the report states.
In the early hours of the attack, explosions were recorded in the areas of the “Kacha” and “Belbek” airfields. Prior to this, reports indicate that air defense systems were launched, followed by powerful detonations.
Explosions were also recorded in the Saki area. In Balaklava, intensive air defense activity was observed, particularly near the local thermal power plant, where, after the systems were launched, they switched to artillery fire.
According to “ATESH,” the explosions and air defense activity affected Sevastopol and its outskirts, Fiolent, Sapun-Gora, the city center, and the Bakhchisaray district.
All collected data, according to the group, was transmitted to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Additionally, on the night of April 26, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an oil refinery in the Russian city of Yaroslavl.
Furthermore, Ukrainian troops eliminated a group of Russian occupiers on motorcycles who were attempting to break through the front line.
