In Crimea, fires broke out at a ferry terminal, a military airfield, and a power substation following attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces
In the temporarily occupied Crimea, fires have been reported at a number of strategic facilities following overnight attacks. According to monitoring sources, the ferry terminal in Kerch, the military airfield in Dzhankoy, and a power substation in Krasnoperekopsk are on fire.
According to a monitoring group, the “Crimea” ferry terminal in Kerch caught fire following an attack. The fire was detected via satellite imagery.
On the night of July 4, local residents reported numerous explosions, gunfire, and drones flying over the city.
A fire was also detected at the military airfield in Dzhankoy.
According to satellite monitoring data, heat signatures were detected in the area where the S-300 air defense missile system is located.
In addition, it is reported that two hangars and military equipment were damaged as a result of the attack. According to eyewitnesses, during the raid, Russian air defense forces opened fire with small arms, while anti-aircraft guns were not used.
Another fire broke out in Krasnoperekopsk at the 35 kV “Polymer” electrical substation.
Satellite imagery also captured another fire near railroad tracks, which may indicate that additional infrastructure facilities were damaged.
There is currently no official confirmation of the extent of the damage from Russian authorities. Information regarding the consequences of the attacks is being verified.
