In Crimea, fires broke out near Dzhankoy and the Chongar Bridge following a drone attack

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, fires were reported in the Dzhankoy area and near the Chongar Bridge following an overnight drone attack. This was reported by the monitoring group of the Telegram channel “Crimean Wind,” citing satellite imagery.

According to the channel, the source of the fire was detected near two gas stations on the outskirts of Dzhankoy. Preliminary reports suggest the strike may have hit the gas stations directly or the fuel tankers parked nearby.

“A fire was detected near two gas stations in Dzhankoy on the outskirts of the city. The strike likely hit either the gas stations themselves or the fuel tankers nearby,” the report states.

It is noted that around midnight, city residents heard drones flying overhead, gunfire, and explosions. In addition, a fire was reported near the road south of the Chongar Bridge.

Also, according to “Crimean Wind,” the 220 kV “Bakhchisaray” power substation may have been targeted. In early July, this facility had already been struck, which at the time led to a large-scale blackout on the peninsula.

As a reminder, strict restrictions on mobile communications have been imposed in the temporarily occupied city of Dzhankoy in northern Crimea. From now on, service will be available only twice a day—from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

A Russian family that had illegally moved to occupied Crimea returned to Barnaul due to difficult living conditions and restrictions. On social media, the woman stated that she had decided to leave the peninsula and hopes for an end to the war.
