The Ministry of Digital Transformation provided details on the use of digital technologies on the battlefield — NHK
Ukrainian military personnel are making the most effective use of modern digital technologies in combat operations on the front lines to counter Russian occupation forces.
Oleksandr Bornyakov, Acting Minister of Digital Transformation, spoke about this in an interview with NHK.
Thanks to the widespread use of unmanned aerial vehicles, the command has managed to completely eliminate the element of surprise from the enemy.
Bornyakov stated that the Ukrainian military is effectively using digital technologies on the battlefield against Russia, which has an advantage in manpower, tanks, and ammunition.
The use of innovative reconnaissance tools allows the Defense Forces to compensate for the enemy’s numerical superiority in equipment and personnel.
Robotic systems monitor the movement of equipment around the clock and promptly transmit coordinates to artillery units.
He cited drones as an example, which transmit information about Russian troops and weaponry, as well as the need for additional resources. According to him, drones can detect military positions, so there is no longer a “fog of war.”
In addition to monitoring the immediate front line, domestic technological solutions allow for undermining the aggressor country’s economic potential deep within its rear.
Long-range aerial systems successfully attack strategic targets that fund the occupying army.
Bornyakov noted that drones monitor the enemy’s front line and can even determine the exact number of tanks, as well as help strike oil industry facilities, which are Russia’s main source of income.
