Russian drones flew into Moldova again during an attack on Ukraine
On the morning of September 19, several unidentified drones were detected in the Ștefan Voda area of Moldova after they entered the country’s airspace. These are likely the Russian drones that terrorists have used to attack cities in Ukraine.
Moldovan border patrols are conducting thorough searches in the area to determine the circumstances of the incident that occurred overnight and to locate any possible debris or fragments from the crashed drones.
According to Moldovan border guards, a group of unidentified drones was spotted around midnight near the village of Kaplani, Stefan-Voda.
Two drones crossed into Moldovan airspace, heading toward the villages of Olenesti and Chistovodne. At the same time, another drone was detected directly above the village of Kaplani—it was flying from the direction of Krokmaz and then left the country’s territory.
Also, at 5:19 a.m., the Ukrainian side informed Moldovan border guards that approximately 1.5–2 km from the state border (near the Ukrainian village of Troitske), it had observed an unknown object crash, after which it caught fire.
This was reported by the press service of the Moldovan Border Police.
As a reminder, on September 18, near the Moldovan capital of Chisinau, law enforcement officers discovered debris from what is believed to be a drone. The night before, residents of the suburbs heard an explosion.

On the morning of September 17, a drone once again violated Moldova’s airspace. According to preliminary data, it was one of the Russian drones involved in the attack on Ukraine’s Odesa region.
