A high-rise building and a Wildberries warehouse in Moscow were damaged in a drone attack; there are injuries

On the night of June 16, the Moscow Region of the Russian Federation came under a massive drone attack

According to the region’s governor, Andrei Vorobyov, a total of more than 86 UAVs were recorded, resulting in at least six casualties, including a child.

Vorobyov confirmed that one of the drones struck a high-rise residential building in Elektrostal, causing a fire on the upper floors. Videos of the fire had previously circulated on social media, but the official cause had not been specified.

However, the governor did not specifically mention any casualties in that particular building.

Damage was also reported in the Elektrostal area, where one of the largest logistics centers for the Wildberries marketplace is located. According to preliminary data, four men were injured there, and two were hospitalized. A large company warehouse was previously reported to be operating in the same area.

In Voskresensk, a 13-year-old girl suffered a stab wound to the thigh. In Kotelnyky, a 57-year-old man was injured.

Regional authorities say the attack was one of the largest in terms of the number of drones used, and the consequences of the strikes are still being assessed.

In the capital of the aggressor country, a massive fire broke out at the Moscow Oil Refinery as a result of the airstrike.
