Video: Azov Strikes Russian Army Supply Base in Donetsk Oblast
Azov fighters launched a drone strike on a secret supply base for Russian troops in Novoamvrosiivka, Donetsk Oblast. As a result of the attack, a railway junction was blocked, forcing the occupiers to reroute their military logistics.
According to Azov fighters, the facility was part of an extensive network that Russian troops had been building for a long time to supply fuel to the front lines. The Russians believed the base in Novoamvrosiivka was out of reach of Ukrainian strikes.
After conducting detailed reconnaissance, the Ukrainian military carried out an attack using Hornet strike drones. During the operation, codenamed “Hell,” the drones struck fuel tankers and damaged the railway infrastructure.
The Azov Regiment notes that as a result of the strike, traffic on this section of the railroad was blocked. This significantly complicated the logistical support for Russian troops and forced the occupiers to reroute their supply lines into Russian territory.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine’s strikes on Russian fuel infrastructure have already yielded tangible results. According to him, a country that for decades profited from oil and fuel exports is now itself forced to seek opportunities to import energy resources.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has backed the idea of creating a network of small oil refineries in the country to increase fuel supplies to the domestic market.
