In Nikopol, Russian forces twice deliberately targeted rescue workers

In the city of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Russian occupation forces carried out yet another targeted attack on Ukrainian rescue workers who were extinguishing a fire in a residential building.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service. Due to the enemy’s daily attacks on civil defense personnel, SES fighters were forced to use onboard electronic warfare (EW) equipment while on the move.

Thanks to special equipment, the emergency responders managed to partially knock the enemy drones off their intended course. Although the drones still hit and damaged the firefighting equipment, the personnel quickly assessed the situation and managed to take cover in the nearest shelter. As a result of this cynical incident, none of the rescuers were injured.

The agency emphasized that this incident is yet another direct proof that the Russian Federation is deliberately violating international law and carrying out repeated attacks on humanitarian missions. The enemy is deliberately attempting to destroy the equipment and personnel of the services that are the first to arrive to rescue the civilian population and extinguish fires following artillery and air strikes.

As a reminder, the Russian Federation attacked a substation in the Kramatorsk district with an FPV drone.

In the Zolochiv community of the Kharkiv region, a Russian drone attacked the Hryhorii Skovoroda National Literary and Memorial Museum.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a critical infrastructure facility was damaged as a result of Russian shelling. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties.
