In a suburb of Kherson, Russian forces attacked energy workers
Russian troops have once again attacked the Kherson region. In the village of Molodizhne, two utility workers who were working on the street were hit. Both men were hospitalized and are currently under medical supervision.
On July 20, Russian occupiers shelled the village of Molodizhne, located on the outskirts of Kherson. At the time of the attack, utility workers were on the street performing repair work. Two workers, aged 63 and 51, were caught in the enemy attack. As a result of the shelling, the men sustained serious injuries.
The Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that the victims suffered shrapnel wounds to their legs, concussions, blast injuries, and closed head injuries. “Two power utility workers, aged 63 and 51, were caught in enemy fire while working on the street,” the Kherson Regional Military Administration reported. After the shelling, the wounded were taken to the hospital. According to regional authorities, doctors assess their condition as moderate.
Russian troops regularly launch attacks on the Kherson region, particularly targeting civilian infrastructure and repair crews working to restore power and utility networks. Due to the constant attacks, repair work in the region is often carried out under the threat of new shelling.
Authorities are once again urging residents of the region not to ignore air raid sirens and to exercise extreme caution, as Russian attacks on civilian targets continue almost daily. The Kherson Regional State Administration reported this on Telegram.
As a reminder, on the night of July 19, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv. One person was killed and eight others were injured as a result of the attack. Damage and fires were reported in five districts of the capital.
