Putin's camp claimed that Trump was being fed harmful ideas at the G7 summit
Official Moscow has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the outcome of the discussions on the war in Ukraine that took place during the recent G7 summit.
Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian dictator, claimed that European leaders were exerting deliberate informational pressure on U.S. President Donald Trump.
According to the Kremlin, the White House was subjected to a massive campaign to impose the view that the Russian Federation is in a losing position and that support for Kyiv must be strengthened.
The Russian side believes that the leaders of European states used the platform of the international summit to shape the American leader’s negative attitude toward the Kremlin’s actions.
Representatives of the occupying regime are convinced that Ukraine’s allies attempted to block any possibility of a potential compromise between Washington and Moscow.
“The Ukrainian issue was actively discussed during the G7 summit. As one might expect, Trump was fed—I would say—ideas that were certainly not helpful, if not harmful,” Yury Ushakov stated.
The Russian leader’s aide also noted that following the conclusion of the international event, diplomatic channels between the countries have effectively been blocked.
According to the Kremlin representative, the Russian dictator’s administration has not had any official or unofficial contacts with representatives of U.S. President Donald Trump’s current administration.
