Andrei Surkov, the military commissar of the Penza Region, confirmed that raids are being conducted to locate individuals subject to military service, stating that such measures are carried out on an ongoing basis.
According to him, the raids are aimed at locating citizens who are evading conscription and military registration. At the same time, he assured that these actions are allegedly unrelated to mobilization, and that contracts for military service are signed only on a voluntary basis.
Amid the circulation of videos showing such raids, the Penza Region police threatened legal action against those who publish what they claim is “false information.” Law enforcement officials stated that the authors of such posts could face legal consequences.
Meanwhile, local residents have created a Telegram channel where they post information about the locations of the raids and the activities of military registration and enlistment office representatives.
