Demand for bunkers has surged in Russia amid the war

Russia has seen a sharp rise in demand for private bunkers—the number of orders has increased by approximately 140%.

This is reported by Russian media.

It is noted that the main customers are top managers, large businesses, and certain officials who fear the escalation of global conflict amid the war against Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East.

According to manufacturers, orders have been coming in almost daily since early March, and the installation schedule is already booked through the summer. Interest in building shelters at dachas and suburban properties has grown particularly sharply—the number of such orders has increased 2.5-fold.

Basic bunker models start at 2 million rubles and are designed for two people. At the same time, affluent clients more often opt for custom designs with expanded features—living areas, a kitchen, a shower, and even relaxation zones.

The Kremlin is demanding that Kyiv make a decision as soon as possible to withdraw Ukrainian troops from the Donbas region.

The Kremlin has responded to a possible initiative to introduce a “ceasefire” for Easter. Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that no clear proposal regarding an Easter truce had been received from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
