Drones hit Pantsir-S1 air defence system in Sevastopol
In occupied Sevastopol, a Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and gun system was struck overnight on 13 March near Cape Fiolent, according to Russian social media sources.
“Tonight in Sevastopol, near Cape Fiolent, a Pantsir-S1 air defence system at the position of the 12th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment was hit,” the report said.
The system was reportedly not combat-ready. After the strike, Russian forces tried to repel the drones with small arms fire.
Separately, in Kyiv, authorities arrested a 21-year-old resident of Khmelnytskyi region for passing information about military units and a thermal power plant to Russia.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Security Service counterintelligence detained another FSB agent in Kharkiv — a 19-year-old local whose mother had been exposed by the SBU in January for organising a terrorist attack.
The SBU also prevented a contract killing of a Ukrainian reconnaissance soldier in Zaporizhzhia.
