In Sevastopol, the occupiers' main symbol was damaged following a drone attack
On the night of June 9–10, a massive fire broke out in the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol following a drone attack. As a result of the incident, the “Defense of Sevastopol 1854–1855” panorama museum—one of the city’s most famous cultural heritage sites—was damaged.
“Last night, an aircraft-type drone deliberately struck the building housing the ‘Defense of Sevastopol 1854–1855’ panorama,” according to a statement from representatives of the occupying authorities.
According to the occupiers, 83 people and 22 pieces of rescue equipment are working at the site. The fire has been classified as a fourth-degree fire. “The situation is extremely difficult: it is already clear that Franz Roubaud’s panorama has been practically destroyed…,” said Razvozhayev.
It should be noted that the panorama, created by artist Franz Roubaud, is one of the key Russian symbols of Sevastopol.
