In the morning, the occupiers struck the industrial zone

This was not the first attack on the city that day. According to the head of the Military-Civilian Administration, around 11:00 a.m., Russian troops dropped a FAB-250 aerial bomb. The strike hit the industrial zone of Sloviansk. As a result of the attack, warehouses and a production facility were destroyed. No reports of casualties have been received following this strike.

Russia continues to shell the Donetsk region

Sloviansk remains one of the cities in the Donetsk region that is regularly subjected to Russian attacks. The occupiers are using guided aerial bombs, missiles, and other types of weaponry, striking both industrial facilities and residential areas. Ukrainian authorities are once again urging residents of frontline communities not to ignore air raid sirens and, if possible, to evacuate to safer regions.

Specialized services are currently working at the sites of the Russian strikes, documenting the consequences of the attacks and clearing the debris. Information regarding the consequences of the shelling may be subject to change. This was reported by Vadym Lyakh, head of the Sloviansk Military-Civilian Administration, on Facebook.

As a reminder, on the night of July 8, strike drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a military airfield in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Oblast, Russia. This airbase is home to aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which are used for both combat and training missions.

Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have reduced the Russian army’s ranks by another 1,260 soldiers. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released updated data on enemy losses as of July 8, also reporting the destruction of a significant amount of enemy equipment.
