An elderly woman was injured in Sumy following a strike by KABs
Russian troops attacked Sumy with guided aerial bombs, injuring an elderly woman. Damage to civilian infrastructure has been reported in the city, and emergency services are assessing the extent of the damage caused by the strike.
In Sumy, Russian troops launched a strike with guided aerial bombs on the community’s territory, resulting in injuries to an elderly woman, who was hospitalized, as well as damage to private homes and civilian infrastructure within the strike zone.
Oleg Grigorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported on the consequences of the attack, noting that emergency services are working on the scene to assess the full extent of the damage and the possible number of casualties. “The enemy struck the territory of the Sumy community with guided aerial bombs. Private residential buildings and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged. As of now, an injured elderly woman has been taken to the hospital,” Grigorov said.
According to preliminary information, reports of other possible casualties are currently being verified, as the consequences of the strike are still being assessed, and relevant services continue to survey the area to evaluate the extent of the damage and provide assistance to residents whose homes have been damaged. As a result of a massive Russian strike on the capital, a rented humanitarian warehouse belonging to the Ukrainian Red Cross was completely destroyed; it had stored over 320,000 items of cargo and equipment with a total value of more than 79 million hryvnias.
As a result of Russian shelling and a fire at one of the capital’s enterprises, fuel and lubricants flowed into Kyrylivskyi Lake in Kyiv via the storm sewer system.
