In May, Ukrainian drones struck more than 18 Russian oil facilities
Throughout May 2026, the Unmanned Systems Forces carried out successful strikes on 18 strategic oil and gas facilities located within the Russian Federation and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, reported on the tremendous results of these operations on his social media accounts.
As a result of successful airstrikes by Ukrainian drones, more than half of the facilities on the list completely halted or significantly curtailed their operations over the course of the month.
The units ensured precise strikes on the most critical technological nodes of the enemy’s fuel infrastructure.
Domestic drones effectively struck primary oil and gas processing facilities, as well as large-scale storage tanks containing finished fuel.
The agency head released a full list of Russian cities and locations where the aggressor’s fuel industry suffered significant fire damage.
