Consumers in three regions were left without power due to Russian strikes

As of the morning of August 14, consumers in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions were left without power due to new Russian drone attacks and artillery shelling.

Emergency repair work is already underway wherever the security situation allows.

Utility workers are working to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible.

“As a result of Russian drone attacks and artillery shelling, there are new power outages in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions as of this morning. Emergency repair work is already underway wherever security conditions currently permit. Power company workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible,” the statement reads.

At the same time, electricity consumption as of 9:30 a.m. on August 14 was at the same level as the previous day.

Ukrenergo recommended that Ukrainians shift their peak electricity usage to the period between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. It is during this time that industrial solar power plants operate most efficiently, which helps reduce the load on the power grid.

This was reported by NEC “Ukrenergo” on Facebook.

On August 13 and the morning of August 14, Russian troops attacked two communities in the Mykolaiv region. The strikes damaged a cultural center and an educational institution; no one was injured.

In addition, over the past 24 hours, on August 13, Russian troops attacked settlements in the Donetsk region. One civilian was killed and 23 others were wounded as a result of the shelling.

Russian forces attacked critical infrastructure and a business in the Zhytomyr region.

The day before, Russian troops launched a drone attack on the grounds of a hospital in central Kherson. Four female medical workers were injured; all suffered blast injuries and concussions.

On the night of July 19, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv. One person was killed in the attack, and eight others were wounded. Damage and fires were reported in five districts of the capital.

Throughout the day on July 17, Russian forces carried out strikes on Kharkiv and 29 other settlements in the Kharkiv region. Two people were killed and 18 others were wounded as a result of the shelling; among the injured were five children.
