Ukraine is nearing the end of the active phase of the war - Fedorenko
According to government officials, Ukraine is gradually approaching the final stage of the active (hot) phase of the war. At the same time, it is noted that the country continues to lay the groundwork for a possible future negotiation process. In parallel, Ukraine is intensifying military and economic pressure on Russia both on the front lines and in the rear.
This was stated by Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of the strike drone unit.
According to him, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously mentioned the possibility of a window of opportunity for peace talks opening up by next winter. Additionally, U.S. Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to arrive in Kyiv in the coming weeks.
At the same time, Fedorenko believes that these developments do not mean an immediate start to negotiations. In his view, diplomatic preparations for a potential process are currently underway, while key events continue to unfold directly on the front lines.
